  8. If you are updating from version 2.04 to 2.05 or 
  9. 2.06, you will need to only run the DCCDCFG file.
  10. Any earlier versions will have to be upgraded 
  11. from version to version - read the below to see 
  12. why, or just call me at my voice or BBS number.

  16.      (for updating to 2.04 from 2.03)

  18. Seems a made a small mistake and have to cause you
  19. some grief over it...  If you are upgrading from
  20. version 2.03 to 2.04 then read onto the next
  21. paragraph.  Otherwise, if you are going from
  22. anything earlier than v2.02 (i said earlier,
  23. ie, 2.01, 2.00, etc...) then just ignore this part
  24. and copy over the DCCDTEXT file and do a DOS
  25. "DEL NEWTEXTS.*" and you're all set!

  27. Now the hard part <gulp> I'm gonna hear it on this
  28. one! <sigh>  1st - going from v2.03 to v2.04:
  29. copy the newtexts.2 file onto the END of your
  30. existing DCCDTEXT file.  This will add the complete
  31. prompt list to your file...  Make sure that
  32. after you copy it there are no blank spaces between
  33. lines of text and make sure you did not copy it
  34. and have it add the 1st line of newtexts.2 onto the
  35. end of the last line in the DCCDTEXT file...
  36.  
  37. ^You only need to do the above ^^^ if you have
  38. modified your DCCDTEXT file...  Otherwise, just
  39. copy the new, enclosed, DCCDTEXT file over you old
  40. one and you're all set...

  42. If you're upgrading from v2.02 - 2.04 you need to 
  43. read the upgrade info for 2.02 - 2.03 FIRST!

  45. Sorry folks, but I had no choice...  I made
  46. a big mistake in this one (Being tired and working
  47. on DCCD isn't smart, and yes, I did learn from my
  48. mistake) but all's well, if you can get through this
  49. upgrade...

  58. You will find a file named "NEWTEXTS".  This 
  59. file contains the new prompts that you must add
  60. to the end of your existing DCCDTEXT file(s) if
  61. you modified them to personalize your BBS.
  62. If you never changed the DCCDTEXT file just copy
  63. over the new DCCDTEXT file to replace your old one
  64. and you'll be all set.

  70. You need to copy over the file DCCDTEXT. and you'll
  71. be all set.
  72. ALSO, LOOK FOR DCM - Deluxe Conference Maker! The
  73. easy way to create that CNFN. list.  (My latest!)

  79. Thhis release of the code changes various parts
  80. of the product manager and door product modes.
  81. You need to Copy your PRODUCTS.CCD to PRODUCTS.1,
  82. and then make another copy of the PRODUCTS.CCD 
  83. for backup purposes in case the manager (or you)
  84. make a mistake and delete your products.
  85. Once you have the PRODUCTS.CCD copied to
  86. PRODUCTS.1 and another backup file, delete,
  87. yes delete, the PRODUCTS.CCD file.  Now, run
  88. the product manager and then IMMEDIATELY (Q)uit!
  89. Now, you door is set to run EXACTLY (to the users)
  90. as it has been.  Read the docs to find out how to
  91. add more categories and how they actually work!

  97. This release of the code makes severe changes to
  98. the Configuration file!  YOU MUST write down, or
  99. print your current configuration (IN DCCDCFG) and
  100. then run the NEW DCCDCFG program and re-enter the
  101. old data.  Please refer to the history file for
  102. information on the changes.
